all new 2007

still young

why not?

Sunday, October 29, 2006

hey you all. it is 3:30pm.. and it hasnt been long since i woke up. i know, what a healthy life style. yesterday was because of a night out. well before more on that, let me try to answer some of your questions.. i cannot do so for every single one, so i guess its faq style.
1. where on earth are you?..and what are you doing?
im in hong kong! & im doing college here
2. are you dating anyone? ...etc etc... all the love life stuff.
first, let me say i was very surprised by overflowing interests. well, thanks?! im single, i do not have a potential candidate and i do not have clear stand on long distance.. but still feel free to ask me out since i will be very flattered lol. and sorry, dont feel offended, its not just you, i just rarely disclose :p
3. are they your hk friends (ones in last entry)?
no, they are ones i met in beijing.
4. i called you many times, why dont you call me?
sorry sorry, my cell cannot make an international call yet.. to make you feel better?! i cant even call my parents.
5. where are your friends from? do you speak chinese to them? etc..etc..
mostly koreans. number of americans decreasing very rapidly while that of chinese is.. umm.. to be increasing soon? lol im such a loser/loner here haha. and sorry, i cant predict future. i thought it was silly question asking me if three years later, i will have more chinese friends than korean ones. who knowsss and to me, diff. nationalities mean nothing in friendships. i speak eng. to hk chinese and to bj chinese, eng. and mandarin. yea.. with my mandarin, guess how deep our talks could get haha.
6. why do you write in eng.?
for the benefit of readers i guess, many dont know korean. and no sorry, im too lazy to write two seperate ones.

oh yea.. quite number of people didnt leave me comments and said.. "i cannot sign in," -its easy to create one, "you already have many comments," -well, which doesnt include yours. id still appreciate yours, "i have a class," -leave one later then, "i read it though," -its not that hard to leave one, and more.. including those who send me comments through msn and ask me to put it up.. soo lammee. well, those who signed up just for the sake of checking my xanga (most people) and subscribed (made it so i dont send you update notice though), greeeaat. thanks! they are the role models, ok? haha. you guys, post a comment rather than sign my guestbook!

ok and now, yesterday night.
i asked pauline to come out for a night out for i needed some fun. since some will ask anyway, shes hongkongese and from my school.. oh yea, laugh it up cathy, bona, marco, michelle and seon (stupid inside joke, others ignore plz, sry sry). anyway, after the dinner at this korean restaurant, we went to tribeca halloween club party. yea yea i know, but i do my work.. sometimes at least. it was packed by the time we were leaving. and their vodka.. had to be free. what i realized was people here seemed to dance really techno-ish.. and im back to my orignial low dance level.. see, there is a proof i didnt go clubbing much lol. oh yea, i really got to learn cantonese for i seriously could not converse with people there that i had to use my bad mandarin. i was happy to see people actually showing their moves.. and gladly, pauline wasnt one of those people who shy away from dancing and just stand staring at you. of course, theres got to be sth she does not shy away from lol (jk girl~). well after few hours, we went to check out lan kwai fong, which is really a downtown bar area. well seeing people celebrate halloween little early was nice. anyway, we found a quite bar to sit and just chill.. good cocktails there.. i recommend "no.1" to all of you. after that as my usual routine?! i went to the frying pan diner to get some breakfast lol.. oh, but i felt really bad as i was the only one eating.. maybe i should cut down on my food intake. anyway, thats about it. oh yea, happy guys? bought a camera finally! no need for charity fundraising. so ending this post with pics.. i dressed that way for halloween thing!

lkf1
first time, i did my own make-up. proud of me? nice back ground lol

lkf2
as you can see, dropped my cell. i look so skinny in this pic that i just had to put it up.

lastly, when other people said they couldnt come out, i thought it might be really awkward night. well, it wasnt..or at least to what i think. thanks to you, pauline! btw, youve somewhat sarcastic smiles in the pics. "the camera dont lie♪" lol.

alright.. dear stalkers, admirers, fans (jk lol) and others, here is a blog dedicated to you all. ill try my best to keep you updated on my life.. and try to give you a better idea of who im. oh yes, ill try to buy a camera and a webcam for video calls and stuff so you guys dont have to do one-side webcam anymore haha (sorry to those who had to do one-man show lol).

ok, so first, here is the inside scoop on my times in beijing (mid/end may 06 - mid/end august 06).

i never got to go to a beach during the whole summer, i didnt get to spend much time with my family, i gained weight, didnt get to say goodbyes to some people, came back with this annoying bronchitis or whatever and sadly, my chinese didnt improve that much.. i prob. can go on for long, but on the contrary, overall, i met some people who made me feel blessed for having a chance to spend time with them. no clue if they know it or not, but they def. made my beijing life worthy despite so many things i wish i could take back.. anyway, without further a due, here i go.

first, when i arrived in beijing, my plan was to study chinese 24/7. however, there came a temptation to go out at night.. as my roommate introduced me to jackie, her co-worker. for the time being though, since my roommate didnt appreciate late nights, i tried to concentrate on my work.. and where i did my work was at wudaokou's lush. its a nice small cafe/bar, good place to study in morning and afternoon. its open 24hrs. anyway, everything changed on the day when jackie wanted to me to meet this so-called "language partner," a young handsome chinese policeman haha. well, that day waiting for jackie at lush, i was looking for a seat to study while waiting when this person asked me if im korean.. that is, in korean, and she invited me to sit at her table since apparently, she was studying by herself as well. well, when i got to sit, of course, me being me, i started talking and one talk led to another.. jackie meeting the girl, hairen (chinese name), language partner coming and so forth.. jackie, hairen, my roommate, hairen's two friends, my language partner and i (we actually never got a chance to actually practice languages lol) ended up in this mahjong place. it was very confusing or more like chaotic as we used chinese, english and korean to converse, which meant a lot of translating here and there. anyway that night, we realized hairens bday was coming up.. so we vaguely decided on a get-together.. and yes, we did get together and we basically formed a little very international group.. actually, later by everyone bringing in more friends, the biggest one get together was little over 30 people.. i know amazing huh? well the group consisted of older crowd and me. thats how i like it though since i get along better with older ones as ive more respect for them and all.. oh btw thanks again for taking me to the aiport on my depating day.. anyway, here are the pictures.. since i believe visuals will be more preferred.

arrest

my almost language partner, wuyuan was a police, we got to have free rides, vip access to places, anywhere parking rights and more.. i was surprised of police having lots of power in beijing. by accident that happened and wuyuan had the key in his office. still sorry! and no surprise on sham having taken this pic.

majjohng

although only non-chinese to know how to play.. yup, i sucked haha

wuyuan

wuyuan looks nice so i wanted to put it up lol.

dos

worldcup games were held when i was in beijing and this is the first korean game.. this is at do's house.. i think we got 50 cans for like 4 acutal drinkers haha. thats why we girls worked overtime.

clubbin

one of hairen's friend, xianlong (chin. ver.) and two jackie's friends.. this is in propaganda, a club that gave me a vip card for frequent visits, id say more like everyday visit haha jk. xianlong is a really good dancer who could basically have a career as a dancer. according to him, hours spent in clubs in last few years helped him lol

so in three monthes how many people? 7.. i def. have a reason for only improving korean?! haha but i got to travel around because of you guys.. anyway, its great how you guys all came to see me. i more than thank you although i did a bad job expressing the emotions to you guys at the time. seriously, how sweet of you guys! and i shouldve been more caring sorry about that.. btw, love you all for the visits ( :
